Toxicology Consultants has been providing a 24/7 a commercial-in-confidence, contracted, consulting service to  international beverage and food companies for 17 years. We specialise in providing consultation services to companies in the Asia Pacific region.

While the needs of the companies do vary, our core service is to provide confidential, independent risk assessment and advice to companies in collaboration with company’s in-house risk management. Our contracts normally arrange formal lines of communication with a number of key members of the contracting company. Initial contact is most frequently by phone with a subsequent exchange of detailed information by email, fax or courier. Contract costs vary depending upon the complexity of the contracting companies' requirements.

The three principle consultants are all Professors of Medicine who specialise in Clinical Toxicology. Internationally, we are widely acknowledged as leaders in our field of pharmaceutical and pesticide toxicity

Professor Nick Buckley

Nick Buckley is the Professor of Clinical Pharmacology, University of Sydney, Consultant in Clinical Pharmacology & Toxicology, Royal Prince Alfred Hospital and Consultant Clinical Toxicologist, NSW Poisons Information Centre. He is Chair of the Editorial Advisory Board of the Australian Medicines Handbook  and a Member of NSW Medication Expert Advisory Committee. He has previously been a member of the Australian Advisory Committee on the Safety of Medicines , Adverse Experience Reporting Program for Veterinary Medicines and Pesticides Committee of the Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority (APVMA). He is past president of Asia Pacific Association of Medical Toxicology (APAMT) 

Professor Andrew Dawson

Professor Dawson is the Medical Director  NSW Poisons Information Centre and Director Clinical Toxicology, Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. He is a Clinical Professor of AddictionMedicine at University Sydney, Conjoint Professor of Medicine at University NSW and Visiting Professor,  University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka.

He is a clinical toxicologist and clinical pharmacologist with Fellowships in the Royal Australasian College of Physicians, the Royal College of Physicians (Edinburgh), Ceylon College of Physicians the American College of Medical Toxicology,  the European Association of Poisons Centres and Clinical Toxicologists.  He is a past president of the Asian Pacific Association of Medical Toxicology and has received career achievement from the Asian, European and American professional societies

Professor Ian Whyte

Professor Whyte is currently employed as the Director of the Department of Clinical Toxicology and Pharmacology at the Calvary Mater Newcastle, New South Wales, Australia. He is Conjoint Professor in the Discipline of Clinical Pharmacology, School of Medical Practice and Population Health, Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Newcastle and is the Director of the Hunter Area Toxicology Service (HATS) for the Hunter and New England Local Health District. Consultant Clinical Toxicologist, NSW Poisons Information Centre.

He is a clinical toxicologist and clinical pharmacologist with Fellowships in the Royal Australasian College of Physicians, the Royal College of Physicians (Edinburgh), the American College of Medical Toxicology, the American Academy of Clinical Toxicology and the European Association of Poisons Centres and Clinical Toxicologists.
